Made for You and Me

Made for You and Me is an ongoing portrait of America assembled from encounters along the way. Monuments and markets, stadiums and subways, places of belief, spectacle, commerce and transit appear alongside the people who inhabit, visit and pass through them.

Moving between the iconic and the ordinary, the photographs consider the ways history, mythology and everyday life overlap. Signs advertise, instruct and regulate; people read, wait, work, perform and move through the systems built around them.

The work does not attempt to describe America comprehensively. Instead, it accumulates fragments of a place that can be grand and mundane, communal and solitary, familiar and strange.
