Blacksmith Shop

July 28, 2016

In a small booth in Old Frontier Town, a blacksmith and his apprentices demonstrate a nearly forgotten trade.

His demeanor is brusque–he has no patience for the mistakes of apprentices generally or the ill-informed who believe that blacksmiths are farriers.

They aren’t. He’s clear about that.

Farriers make shoes for horses; blacksmiths forge tools and metal goods.

Cheyenne Frontier Days are a step backward in time.

And the Blacksmith is no exception. Blacksmith Cheyenne Frontier Days
