“Can we put all the flags out today? Not just the big one?”
Yes.
Yes, of course.
Because they won’t always want to place all these plastic flags around the driveway on June 14.
That day is probably coming sooner than I realize.
This enthusiasm—like running to the ice cream truck and splashing in the shallow end and the baby’s sleep regression—is just a passing stage.
A stage that, unlike some of them, is really awesome to live through.
