Someone Got Her Own Pole

March 31, 2016

After years of watching and waiting, she was ready.

Excited.

Bouncing, actually, at the store when she and her dad picked out the rod.

When you’ve watched your brother and your dad fish the ocean for years, you really want your turn.

Her turn.

The surf.

The sand.

The sun.

She didn’t catch anything–nobody did that day.

But that didn’t matter to her at all.

She was fishing.
