Spring Fever

Warm weather.

Fresh growth.

Green spreading, advancing.

Conquering the brown.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve watched the woods behind our house come alive again.

Seen the leaves grow.

Day by day.

Almost before our eyes.

While I’ve breathed a sigh out, the children have inhaled.

I find relief, where they find invigoration.

With the sun and the heat and the change of seasons, spring fever—and its endless chaos—has arrived.
